I spotted this handwritten sign in Davie, Florida pointing people toward a coconut stand and something about it stopped me completely. There is something about a simple handwritten sign that works on a level no fancy design can touch. It says exactly what it needs to say and nothing more. The rustic lettering, the plants around it, the whole scene felt like a painting before I even picked up a brush.

It made me think about how little it takes for us to understand each other when we keep things honest and simple. That feeling is what I wanted to bring home.
