I'm a Florida native and I painted this piece to capture the vibrant Florida sun and spirit. Florida oranges have always been part of my identity, and this painting is my way of honoring that, the color, the warmth, the way the light hits the fruit when you're driving past a grove on a back road in the middle of summer.

The painting is built up in layers of acrylic on canvas, with thick, expressive brushwork in the oranges and softer movement in the leaves and background. The colors are saturated and alive, meant to bring that Florida glow into whatever room it lives in.
