This painting is an original done with acrylic paint on canvas board and comes framed in the frame shown.
The inspiration for this painting was a potted orange tree I came across during an art retreat in the south of France. What stopped me about it was the contradiction. The pot was small, the tree was modest, but the fruit it was bearing was full and heavy. There was something worth paying attention to in that. The idea that what something produces doesn't always match what it looks like from the outside.
