This is an original painting, not a print or reproduction. Every brushstroke was made by hand and the texture you see in the photos is real paint on real canvas. Only one exists.

I painted this for Lunar New Year. I am of Chinese and Jamaican descent and every new year brings this specific feeling I have never quite been able to name — lucky but chaotic, hopeful but urgent, like good things are coming and you need to be ready for all of them at once.

The lucky cat has always represented prosperity and good fortune but I wanted to paint the version that felt true to me. Not one cat sitting still and composed. A whole swirling sea of them, moving, overlapping, alive. Deep blues, neon pinks, warm golds. Beautiful overwhelm. That is the energy I wanted to bring into the new year and this is what came out.

This painting is 16x20 inches, acrylic on canvas. The texture is real and visible — you can see the energy in the brushstrokes in person in a way no photo fully captures. It arrives unframed.
