Rum & Coke Original Acrylic Painting, 11 × 14 inches
Rum and Coke is a familiar combination across the Caribbean, but this painting is about more than the drink itself. It captures the feeling around it: music playing, people gathered together, conversation flowing, and a drink poured without much fuss.
Rum has deep roots in Caribbean history, shaped by sugarcane, colonialism, labor, and generations of rum-making across the islands. Today, it also lives within everyday Caribbean culture, from celebrations and parties to a casual drink shared among friends.
This 11 × 14 original painting turns that familiar ritual into a small piece of Caribbean life, using bold color and painterly brushwork to capture the warmth, nostalgia, and energy of the region.
Colors may appear different in person due to lighting conditions and differences in screen settings.
